A Look at the Acura Integra and its Features

Acura is the luxury division of the famous Japanese automaker Honda. The company is well-known for everyday vehicles, and Acura was its way of breaking into the luxury market. Acura cars combine top-notch performance with sleek and elegant designs. Not to mention, buyers get all the luxuries of a deluxe vehicle at a more affordable price. The Acura Integra is one of the popular luxury models that boasts stellar performance, comfort, and safety.

Overview
The Acura Integra has been molded into a vehicle of luxury. It is no more an aging sedan but a reformed sporty vehicle that gives the rivals in its class a run for their money.

A Look at the Acura Integra and its Features
The sporty four-door comes with a powerful engine that offers speed and performance. A manual shift stick or an automatic transmission is standard, even on the base trim. The car is fun to drive and has easy handling and luxurious interiors. The price starts at roughly $31,000, and the better the trim, the higher the price.

Engine and performance
The Integra has four trims: Integra, A-Spec, A-Spec w/Technology CVT, and A-Spec w/Technology 6MT. Each variant features a front-wheel drive and a 200-horsepower 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which was also seen in the Honda Civic line. In addition, they have a continuously variable automatic transmission, except for the A-Spec 6MT, which has a six-speed manual transmission with a limited-slip differential.

This six-speed manual transmission variant can hit up to 60 mph in seven seconds, which is pretty decent.

The Acura Integra has an adaptive suspension. Its CVT and 6MT trims add an Individual mode to the drive-mode selector switch, allowing you to save custom settings. The steering is a little tough and heavy-weighted, but it does allow for smooth turning and comfortable cruising. Fuel efficiency is excellent; you can get up to 30 mpg in the city and up to 37 mpg on the highway in the base trims.

Interiors
Being a sedan, the Acura Integra has sufficient space and luxury in its cabin. Much of it is similar to the brand’s Honda Civic, another popular offering from Honda. This includes the style, look, and feel. The interiors, though, have many additional features, such as heated seats wrapped in faux-leather upholstery and eight-way power adjustments on the driver’s seat. The A-Spec CVT and 6MT have an optional technology package that brings microsuede-trimmed seats with exclusive stitch, 12-way adjustable front seats, and four-way adjustable passenger seats. The rear seat is spacious and can seat up to two adults. But, it does lack the premium features you would expect from a vehicle supposed to offer luxury.

Infotainment features
That’s not all. The Acura Integra has several features for infotainment. A 10.2-inch digital gauge is standard on all the trims, providing lots of reconfigurable information to the driver. The base trim has a 7.0-inch infotainment display, but you can upgrade it to a 9.0-inch screen if you are willing to pay. Both screens come without a touchpad controller. The other infotainment features include smartphone connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and an eight-speaker stereo system that is standard across all models. As you would expect, the A-Spec CVT and 6MT models come with a wireless smartphone charging pad, three charging ports, and a 5.3-inch head-up display.

Safety
This is an essential factor to keep in mind when buying a car. The Acura Integra has many features to keep its passengers safe, such as lane-keeping assist, pedestrian detection, emergency braking, forward-collision warning, and lane-departure warning.

If these features interest you, visit the brand’s website to learn more about the Integra and its benefits.
