If you’re a car buff, there’s almost nothing as inspiring as the glitz and glam of Hollywood to get your engines roaring. Hollywood has certainly had it’s share of memorable cars on the big and small screen.

1. Die Another Day’s Aston Martin V12 Vanquish
While the James Bond movies have certainly had their fare share of Bond villains and Bond girls, 007 has also had a really impressive line up of cars. Most memorable on our list is the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish from Die Another Day. This car was so impressive it was almost a hero of it’s own accord.
2. The Batmobile from Batman Returns
Batman and the batmobile go hand in hand. Bruce Wayne is a millionaire so it makes perfect sense that he’d have a really nice ride to aid his crime fighting efforts. There have been many Batmans and batmobiles in Hollywood over the years, but it is and has seen a lot of incarnations over the years, but when actor, Michael Keaton, donned the rubber suit in 1989, he drove the most impressive batmobile, thanks to director Tim Burton’s vision.
3. iRobot’s Audi RSQ
Of course with a title like iRobot, there’s little doubt that of this film’s ultra-futuristic special effects and staging. However, when Wil Smith took the wheel of the sleek Audi RSQ with it’s modern autonomous-driving technology complete with spherical wheels and reverse butterfly doors. The car appeared to be a living, breathing being that should be spared from the same tragic dystopian end as many of the robots in this film.
4. The DeLorean DMC-12 from Back to the Future
Let’s face it, there’s only one automobile that could break the space time continuum and that’s the Delorean DMC-12 from Back to the Future. Not only do many of us wax nostalgic about the coolest cars from our childhood, we have to admit that the idea of a Delorean with time-traveling abilities, a 1.21-gigawatt nuclear engine, flux capacitor, and gullwing doors would be impressive, even today!
5. Knight Rider’s KITT
KITT (Knight Industries Two Thousand) is the 1982 Pontiac Trans Am that appeared in the original Knight Rider series, but it wasn’t the make and model that emboldened us, and David Hasselhoff, to this black beauty. KITT was an artificially intelligent electronic computer module wrapped up in a kickass, ultra-modern robotic automobile. The fact that KITT was Knight Rider’s biggest ally, friend, and a totally indestructible automobile meant it was almost…almost as cool as Hoff.
